Brazilian authorities implement additional measures to reduce import duty and suspend anti-dumping rights for products used to combat coronavirus (Covid-19)

1) Resolution No. 22 of the Executive Management Committee of the Chamber of Foreign Trade (March 25, 2020)
The Resolution includes additional items in the list of products subject to a 0% rate of Import duty to facilitate the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, such as ethyl alcohol solutions, medical compressed air, test kits for Covid-19 and various surgical products.

2) Resolution No. 23 of the Executive Management Committee of the Chamber of Foreign Trade, (March 25, 2020)
The Resolution suspends anti-dumping rights until September 30, 2020 for imports of disposable plastic syringes for general use with a capacity of 1ml, 3ml, 5ml, 10ml and 20ml (with or without needles) originating from China. The same will also apply to imports of plastic tubes for vacuum blood collection originating from Germany, China, the United States and the United Kingdom.
